The Very Best Day Part 3

That handsome boy in the middle is all mine.

I think Scott is such a good mix of his parents.

The Dalys! Corinne and her family got strep throat the weekend of the wedding, she got to come to the reception because she had been on antibiotics for 24hrs, but we definitely missed her boys.

I love this one of Fred and Corinne.

This is Scott's Grandpa Waldron. Pretty much one of the coolest people I've ever met. He went skydiving at 90yrs old, and muscled out my two brothers-in-law for the garter toss.

Scott and his groomsmen.

Sweet Charly Girl

Lindsay

We pretty much twirled all day.

The Moores

Alyssa was the best maid of honor. Switching her dress to ivory was so Pippa Middleton. She rocked it.

She told me that this is what the teenagers do when they mean "Fierce"

Shannon

Don't they look perfect in purple?

Lauren

Hannah

Madi - I have a normal picture of us too, but I love this one.

Oaty (Kristin) - Subtle as a gun.

My 4th sister... Momsie.

This is what we call our "Authority Nails"

The Calls

Cutting the cake

I mean, he knows me really well... but that competitive drive is hard to tame sometimes.

For our first dance we chose "I do not love you" by Ron Pope

I really like kissing him.

Scott and his mom danced to "My Wish" By Rascal Flatts

As a surprise for my Dad I picked "The way you look tonight" from the Father of the Bride Soundtrack. He's my George.

With Grammy Frost

I love our crazy.

I was a little sad that JT and Rick couldn't be there. My sisters married really really well. I'm so grateful Mackay and Cam are my brothers. I love them so much. They worked so hard to help pull the reception together and they each grabbed a flag from the countries my brothers were/are serving church missions in and participated in the garter toss as proxy.

Poppa Bear

Mima and Brian

I'm not even kidding when I say the Grandpa Waldron won the garter toss. He also asked the videographer if she had a single Grandma she could set him up with. Such a spark plug. :)

For the record I had no idea they were going to make out in our wedding video. It was hilarious. #keeptheflameburnin

The photographer asked us to all kiss Dad for a picture. Which is so cute, but we really aren't a super affectionate family. We laugh and are sarcastic and silly when we're together. We couldn't figure out how to all kiss dad at the same time which resulted in the picture below. I think I was going for his chin.

Alyssa really nailed it.

And then it was time to leave for the honeymoon!

One of my very dear friends had had a baby just a few days before the wedding. She came for a few minutes and I saw her in line as we ran out. I was so happy to see her before we left UT.

Like forever-ever.

The Best Day Part 2.

This is the video from our first look/bridals session. You never could tell what a crazy day it was right? Also Scott running around me in a circle and jumping into the air is the sweetest thing ever. We may or may not be planning on recreating this in 20 years.

I was so glad we took our bridals the night before, we weren't rushed and after we walked out of the temple no one had to wait on us to take pictures hot and hungry. Scott's parents put on a luncheon for everyone who came to the sealing close to where we were having the reception. It was the perfect regrouping before the reception. Her friends decorated and Kneaders catered. I'm so glad we did this. All of the people who were so kind in traveling had a place to come and relax and eat. The little kids had a space to take off their shoes and run around. It was a great opportunity to introduce each other to our families in a comfortable setting.

Scott's sister Shannon took these :)

After the luncheon everyone told me I didn't have to help anymore? Apparently I was the bride and didn't have to anymore? Strangest wedding I've ever been to. ;) My family launched into go mode to finish the reception. I heard my Dad went to a craft store with three grandkids for picture frames. My brothers-in-law hung lanterns in trees, Kristin directed traffic, designed our guest book and tied sashes while breast feeding. (I'm getting her a headset for Christmas.) Mom, Lindsay, and Shirl did table settings and put the food together. Julene launched into party mode to help pull it all together. They made it happen. We make a pretty incredible team when we're all together.

Gary and Julene opened their gorgeous home not only to host the reception but let family stay at their house and use their basement as the command center. We are so very lucky they are a part of our family. We love them so much.

The videographer finished our first look video for the reception in 24hrs, and we hadn't seen it yet. So we watched it on Gary & Julene's couch. Scott fell asleep, and then I convinced the party crew to let me put the flowers on our cake.

I've never been a huge fan of fondant cakes, and since this year was the year I launched my line of bundt cakes for Kneaders I wanted my bunds to be a part of our wedding. Our Orem Chefs made my hummingbird cake recipe for our wedding cake. Although I didn't physically make the cake it was really cool for me to have a part of my work in our special day. We also served mini key lime tarts, mini raspberry cream cheese tarts, mini lemon ginger bundt cakes, and mini hummingbird bundt cakes.

That framed print is my bridal shower invitation Kristin designed.

A huge thank you to my chefs and family at Kneaders. the food was so stunning.

Kristin designed postcard for our guest book. We took snippets of the letters we wrote back and forth to each other when we first met and she put them on postcards for the banner. We had our guests write well wishes on postcards in lieu of a guestbook.

I am so glad we had a videographer. We really won the lottery with photographers and videographer for our big day. Every single one of the pictures are stunning and these incredible videos. They captured the day exactly how I wanted.

Wedding Part 3 coming soon.

5.11.15

This past week I've felt like I was having an out of body experience. Everything that could go wrong did, except, Mr. Daly was there to swoop in and save me at the last second. The second before all hope was lost.

So many things have been going on. Almost too much for me to process sometimes, but I woke up today grateful that things have been crazy and hard lately. These trials have given us an opportunity to fall deeper in love with each other. Tonight after family prayer Mr. Daly kissed me and and said with a smile "I love that our relationship is this good. We're not trying to impress anyone, we're just crazy in love."

And oh is that true. When I called my mother to tell her I was going down hard and fast for a boy with dreamy blue eyes, her Mom said that she loved how Scott balanced me out, like I wasn't trying to compete anymore. I was comfortable.

I think she's exactly right. Because when I'm with him, nothing else matters.

I love you Sweetheart.

Happy Nine Months.

The Very Best Day. 8.8.14

I couldn't sleep the night before. I knew that I should sleep because it was going to be a long day but I just couldn't. I found myself writing Scott a love letter from the deepest parts of my heart at 2am. I was so grateful that we had fought for our temple marriage. We had survived the Temple Clearance letter process, and I was only hours away from becoming Jessica Nan Daly. Heavenly Father was so mindful of us,  I knew from our first date he was going to be my husband. Neither of us really knew how all of the big picture stuff was going to work out. We did however know that we love each other more than anything else, and that we loved God. Heavenly Father moved mountains to get us together and for that I will always be grateful. Everything had fallen into place, and I had never been more sure that we were supposed to be together forever. We fell hard and fast and it was exciting and crazy and perfect. Every time someone would ask me if I thought this was too fast, or if I really knew him, I would respond. "He is the easiest decision I have ever made." He still is. We have almost been married for nine months and I couldn't be more grateful he's mine forever I've fallen deeper in love with him everyday.

My parents, Alyssa, and I slept at the Lundwall's the night before. It was fun to get to share my last night of being a single girl with my single sister. It felt like something you should do. Alyssa was my maid of honor and was indispensable. We woke up at 5am and I got in the shower. Someone gave me the advice to get up a little extra early and take my time getting ready and enjoy it. Totally worth it. I dried my hair and then Lisa (my saint of a friend) and hairdresser drove up the canyon to start my hair at 6am. I handed my phone to Lyssa and she started the social media sharing.

Lundwalls have this awesome workout room covered in mirrors, I felt like a celebrity. Mom bought me the most gorgeous white lace robe to wear while I got ready. Lyssa was seriously in top form all day. She set alarms for every little thing I asked her to do. I really couldn't have done it without her.
I did my makeup and we went upstairs. My Dad made me scrambled eggs. He's an incredible breakfast chef  and knows his girls so well. Time to take time to sit down and eat, and breathe. After breakfast I asked him to give me a fathers blessing and it was one of the sweetest moments of our relationship together. I love my Dad.

Somehow we passed Scott on the way to the temple and I remember feeling so proud of myself. I always make us late. We got to walk in together and I will never forget the way he looked at me when he took my hand to walk into the temple. Love is such a pure and beautiful thing. Mom took my dress to get things set up in the bride's room while Scott and I finished paperwork in the office.

Back when I went through the temple for the first time, after the session my mom held my hand in the bride's room and she started to tear up and said "We'll be here soon enough." I remember thinking I'm so glad she's getting some revelation on the husband project because I got nothing. Who knew Scott would walk into my life just a few short months later? Moms know. She helped me get dressed into my temple clothes and we hugged and held hands and tried not to cry. We were there. In the Bride's Room. For real.

Scott and I got to spend some time in the Celestial Room just us before the sealing. I have never felt more calm and excited at the same time. The sealing was full of family and friends, and I could hardly believe we were there. We had the corner sealing room in Mt. Timpanogos we had seen after doing a session the month before. It had so much incredible light. We knew it was ours. Scott looked so handsome dressed in white.

After the sealing we hugged everyone and it was time to change into our wedding clothes and start the party! Mom and I went back to the bride's room to get dressed and I realized I didn't have my veil. I LOVED the veil and didn't want to walk out of the temple without it. Somehow it had gotten left in the truck and I was freaking out. Somehow my saint of a mother got the veil to the Bride's room and traded spots with Lisa who came in to touch up my hair and place the veil.

But come on. The veil was crucial.

Happiest Day of our Lives. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. I'm so glad you found me sweetheart.

Reception and Wedding Videos coming soon. :)
